Accounting for Energy Exchanges

What’s owed,
what’s done,
what’s received.

A safe, shared ledger for any group of people who exchange energy — money, hours, items, favors, or just the strange currency of “I owe you one.” Strictly within-group. Never public.

§ 02 · structure

Two shapes, one ledger.

Pick the shape that matches your group’s social contract. You set it once at creation, and it locks for the life of the group. (Or go hybrid — a mix of both.)

The Pyramid

Tiered, top-down. Disputes escalate up.

CEO · C-suite · associates

The Peer Circle

No tiers. Sub-groups optional. Disputes go to a peer panel.

Coders · SMEs · marketers · admin

§ 02b · what flows

Every group runs on five currencies.

Most software only counts the first one. Group-Project counts all five — and lets each line in the ledger speak its own language. Money for the freelancer, hours for the volunteer, favors for the friend, items for the consignment, and the strange currency of otherfor whatever doesn’t fit a box.

§ 03 · the loop

The six-step loop.

From “we should write this down” to a tamper-evident audit trail you can hand a successor in three years.

  1. 01

    Create a group

Pick a shape, who can edit, and whether the plan is fixed or malleable. Three choices, locked at creation.

  2. 02

    Invite by code

Generate an invitation code. You decide where to paste it. We never auto-send anything, ever.

  3. 03

    Define lines

Pair every responsibility with a compensation. Money, hours, items, favors, other — your call, per line.

  4. 04

    Members agree

Each member signs on to their part — with a date, and optionally a signature.

  5. 05

    Log & acknowledge

Did-the-thing entries unlock compensation; recipients confirm received, or open a dispute.

  6. 06

    Audit, always

Every event is signed by its author and append-only. Conflicts route by shape: pyramid escalates up; circle convenes a peer panel.

§ 04 · pricing

Charged to the host. Free for everyone else.

One annual subscription per group, sized to your active member count. Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial — no charge until you keep it.

if your group changes size mid-year

Group grows past a tier. Your current subscription is pro-rated as a credit toward the new tier — you only pay the difference for the rest of your year. Plan editing keeps working through a 14-day grace window.

Group shrinks past a tier. Your current subscription stays in effect through the end of your year. At renewal you automatically move to the smaller tier. No clawback, no surprises.
